Sweet Copper has a very sad back story. When Copper's owner no longer wanted him, he brought him to the local shelter. When the shelter workers belittled the man for bringing Copper in, the man took his dog & left. On his way home he dropped Copper on the side of the road and then drove home. After 7 hours the man started feeling guilty so he went back to see if Copper was still there. He found Copper sitting on the side of the road where he'd been abandoned, just waiting for his "dad" to come get him. When a rescuer heard Copper's story, she intervened and took him in as a foster. He is now heading to 11th Hour to find a forever home.

Copper is very sweet and loving - he would make a wonderful family dog. He does well with both dogs and cats in his foster home. He is mostly housebroken, walks on a leash and is crate trained. He was born on 9/22/2022 and weighs 48 pounds. Copper has now been fully vetted and he's waiting to make the trip to EHR to find a new life. He would LOVE to have a new home waiting for him when he arrives!
