Beagle (short coat) : : Female : : Adult : : Medium
Nutmeg is a 4-5 year old Beagle. She is a very calm, loving girl. Nutmeg loves going on walks, eating and getting hugs and kisses. She recently had a litter of puppies but is finally ready to go to her furever home. She gets along with other dogs although she does not play with them and seems to prefer the calmer dogs that do not crowd her. Nutmeg is currently in a home with 4 other dogs of all different sizes and ages and does fairly well with everyone but occasionally gets a little cranky and will growl and snap at them, especially the younger, more energetic ones. She is curious about cats but generally ignores them. She listens fairly well and is always willing to please.
Although not necessary, Nutmeg would do best with another dog in the house or a family that is home alot as she does not like to be alone for long. She does display a little separation anxiety.
Nutmeg is currently being treated for heartworm and will need to be retested by 11th Hour Rescue in January. Once she is negative for heartworm, she will need to be spayed. Please consider showing Nutmeg what it is like to have a home and be loved by a family and fill out an online application today.
