Meet Blitz & Boris – Bonded Brothers Searching for a Second Chance at Forever
Age: 8 years | Breed: Domestic Short Hair | Status: Bonded Pair, Must Be Adopted Together
Blitz and Boris are two incredibly sweet and affectionate 8-year-old brothers who have only
ever known one home—until recently. Adopted together as kittens, these bonded boys were
heartbreakingly surrendered back to 11th Hour Rescue after a lifetime with the same family.
Now, they’re patiently waiting for a kind and understanding person or family to give them the
true forever home they deserve.
Despite the sudden life change, Blitz and Boris have shown just how resilient and loving they
are. Within just a few weeks in their foster home, they’ve settled in beautifully—offering
cuddles, belly rubs, and gentle purrs to their foster parent.
Meet Blitz:
A mellow sweetheart with a curious streak. Blitz loves catnip mice, exploring cabinets (yes, he’s
mastered opening drawers!), and lounging by your side. He enjoys affection on his terms but
will occasionally curl up next to you at night. One thing to note: Blitz prefers to stand when he
pees, which can cause overflow outside the box. A high-sided litter box has been effective,
though occasional cleanup may still be needed. For the right person, it’s a small quirk in
exchange for a whole lot of love.
Meet Boris:
Quiet, soulful, and endlessly gentle, Boris is the shyer of the two but just as affectionate. He
leans into pets, purrs with joy, and finds comfort in routine and the company of his brother.
Once he feels safe, he’ll be your shadow.
The Details:
Neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines
Senior blood work 6/13/2025 came back normal for both
Healthy with recent vet visits, bloodwork (June 2025), and dental care (Blitz had a
cracked tooth removed and is healing well)
Excellent appetites — they enjoy Fancy Feast Classic Pâté (poultry and beef) twice a day
Consistent litter box use (with Blitz’s standing quirk, mentioned above)
Love using their scratching posts
Blitz has allergies and gets 5mg (half a 10 mg tablet) of Zyrtec in his food every morning
(the allergy may be something in my home – but there is no way to confirm this)
Boris 7-14-2025 was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease in his L6 & L7 – he is on
medication and it is highly recommended to get a monthly Solensia injections
Boris is also allergic to Temptations cat treats – he will vomit if he eats these
They LOVE “Delectables” Tuna Squeeze Ups
These boys have been through a major transition, but their capacity to love and adapt is
remarkable. What they need now is a calm, loving home where they can spend their golden
years together—safe, secure, and cherished.
If you’ve ever considered opening your heart to a bonded pair, Blitz and Boris will reward you
with double the devotion, double the purrs, and double the joy.
