All applicants must be at least 23 years of age.

Complete the form in its entirety. Incomplete applications will delay processing. Applications can take anywhere from 1-7 days depending on the responsiveness of your references, vets and landlord, if applicable. Submitting an application does not reserve the pet for you

Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation email. Be sure to check your email and SPAM folder for an email from Eleventh Hour Rescue (@ehrdogs.org). This email contains information on how to reach us while your application is being reviewed.

References and Veterinarians: Let your references know a volunteer from EHR will be calling them. Contact your veterinarian(s) to release vet records. Not doing so may delay the processing of your application

Once your application has been processed, you will receive an email from our applications team. Please check your Spam and Junk folders, as our emails may be mistakenly filtered there. This email will indicate whether or not you have been approved to adopt, and provide information on your next steps. Receiving the approval email does not guarantee that the animal you applied for is still available or a good fit for your home.

Please note: we do not 'hold' or 'reserve' animals during your application review process, but we will do our best to help match you to an alternate candidate in the event the animal you applied for is no longer available at the time of your approval.
